You may have missed it, but we didn't!!

On Monday Jan. 23rd, Dennie (LolaLovesBooks) closed up work early and headed over to author Laura Hunsaker's book signing at Paseo Verde Library in Henderson, NV.

I've been looking forward to Laura Hunsaker's signing since she first mentioned it. Let me start by saying Monday was a CRAZY workday, but as Dawn stated above, I worked like a crazed woman so I could make it in time. I could have taken more photos to share with all of you, though I fear fellow library-goers--even Laura--might have thought I was a stalker or something...so these few pics will have to suffice :)

I walked through the entrance and was so happy to see her table was front and center. Copies of Highland Destiny were neatly arranged, shiny new covers tempting patrons as they walked in. I chatted with Laura and Heather (pictured above) for a quite a while. That afternoon the library was teeming with people but the funny thing was they were mostly men--even so, though--a few stopped by her table for a quick chat!

I happen to be one of those patrons that the shiny cover was calling out to. I was already the proud owner of a Kindle version of Highland Destiny (complete with my first ever Kindlegraph!) but how could I resist the half-clad Scotsman, Connor MacRae, just willing me to own it in print--I just HAD to have a tangible book autographed. I talk a lot, so we sat there well past the end of signing, but we had a great conversation. All-in-all, it was awesome and I wish all her fans could have been there to show their support, get an autograph, and get to see what a talented and wonderful woman she is!
