Inspiration

I recently completed a two week vacation in the lovely country of Portugal. Being a huge history buff, visiting Europe and its rich culture was like eating a bowl of my favorite ice cream. Delicious and satisfying.

Portugal is a country of passion. From their food, to their culture, to their pride in their country, there isn't anything they don't do with gusto.

I was inspired to write a rich, lush story bout a husband and wife who rekindle their marriage with a trip to Portugal. They would go to Algarve, the southern region on the Atlantic with beautiful beaches and deliciously rich food.

Oh yes, there was so much to inspire, I almost lost track of what I was doing. LOL.

I would be sure to mention the seagulls, or as my friend John calls them, the "roosters" of Algarve. But hey, my hero and heroine could wake up early and get busy on the beach in the morning, right? ;)

Days were long and lazy. Sleeping until 9:30 or 10:00, eating a rich breakfast outside on the patio with the sun on me. Plucking fresh plums from the trees in the backyard and eating them as the fresh juice ran down my chin and the hiss of the sprinklers hit the warm air.
Bliss.

I am the type of writer who is inspired by everything and anything. Portugal was almost TOO much inspiration. Everything I saw gave me ideas for my story, from the beautiful tiled roofs to the cabanas on the beach and the umpteen ice cream stands. (I ate WAY too much ice cream, yum.)
It was like having a succulent, delicious, multi-course meal. One bite at a time coating your mouth until your belly cries for mercy. We had such meals in Portugal, lasting a couple hours, amazing. And yes, inspiring.

Everything was so rich, I was on a high the entire two weeks. I think I can still feel the sand on my feet and the sun on my face.

I need a title for the story I'm writing. It will be a novella and it needs a name worthy of such a lush and beautiful place. Any ideas?

Let's help Beth Wiliamson come up with a title for this inspired book!

One lucky commenter will win their choice of  either Mathew, Brody, or Gideon in print.

Circle Eight Series (writing as Emma Lang)
Circle Eight: Matthew A man learns to hold what is his…
It is a vast spread in the eastern wilds of the newly independent Republic of Texas, the ranch their parents fought for … and died for. To the eight Graham siblings, no matter how much hard work or hard love it takes, life is unthinkable without family…
In the wake of his parents’ murder, Matthew Graham must take the reins at the Circle Eight. He also needs to find a wife in just thirty days, or risk losing it all. Plain but practical, Hannah Foley seems the perfect bride for him . . . until after the wedding night.
Their marriage may make all the sense in the world, but neither one anticipates the jealousies that will result, the treacherous danger they’re walking into, or the wildfire of attraction that will sweep over them, changing their lives forever.
THE CIRCLE EIGHT: BRODYA year after their family was brutally torn apart, the Graham siblings begin to put their lives back together at their ranch in East Texas. With their parents gone, their bonds will truly be tested…
Olivia Graham has worked hard to take care of her family at the Circle Eight Ranch. But their family circle was broken when their young brother Benjy disappeared. Liv can’t shake the feeling that he must be out there, somewhere.
Brody Armstrong, a handsome but rough-around-the-edges Texas Ranger, has been working on their case for months, and now he has a promising lead.
As Liv follows him across the rugged Texas landscape and into Mexico, she’ll begin to find the answers she needs—as Brody finds a passion he didn’t know he wanted…

Devil's on Horseback Series (written as Beth Williamson)
Devils on Horseback: Gideon
Handing over the reins is hard. Handing over his heart…damn near impossible.
Devils on Horseback, Book 5

Gideon Blackwood is on the run—from Tanger’s meddling matchmakers. With no intention of following the rest of the Devils down the aisle, he heads for the hills to reassess a life spent leading and caring for others…and runs smack into the business end of a shotgun. At the trigger: a curmudgeonly woman with a broken axle and a load of responsibility.
In Chloe Ruskin’s experience, men take what they want and leave a mess of trouble behind. The safety of two orphans and her granny is at stake, and the last thing she needs is Gideon’s “help”. This time, though, she has no choice but to allow the big cowboy to fix her wagon.
As they work into the night, grudging admiration grows into attraction—and desire. Gideon finds he can’t dig his boot heels in hard enough to avoid falling for the opinionated little female.
When Chloe’s family disappears, her suspicion threatens to destroy any spark of love before it catches fire. Gideon finds himself making promises his pride won’t let him break—even if it costs him the love of the woman who owns the missing half of his soul.

    Passion in Portugal

Ok that's probably not the most original, but I will come back if I can think of anything else. It definitely sounds like a novella I would love to read!
