AMAZING NEW AUTHOR ~ Monica Murphy ~ One Week Girlfriend & Second Chance Boyfriend

THIS IS A MUST READ NEW AUTHOR!

ONE WEEK GIRLFRIEND

New Adult Contemporary Romance

**Mature situations and sexual content - recommended for ages 17+**

Temporary. That one single word best describes my life these last few years. I’m working at a temporary job until I can finally break free. I’m my little brother’s temporary mother since our mom doesn’t give a crap about either of us. And I’m that temporary girl all the guys want to get with because I give it up so easily. According to the rumors, at least.

But now I’m the temporary girlfriend of Drew Callahan, college football legend and all around golden guy. He’s beautiful, sweet—and he’s hiding way more secrets than I am. He’s brought me into this fake life where everyone seems to hate me. And everyone seems to want something from him. The only thing he seems to want though is…

Me.

I don’t know what to believe anymore. All I know is, I think Drew needs me. And I want to be there for him.

Forever.

Review~

To start this review let me tell you how I picked it up...

I picked up this book while waiting for my JR Ward Lover at Last to download. I didn't want something that was too long and I thought this sounded perfect -like a cute sweet quick read. Oh' Boy was I wrong! This book is an all consuming, passionate, heart aching, drama filled emotional ride. I did not, no let me say that right I COULD NOT put this book down! JR Ward got pushed to the side and I got more that I expected from this amazing new Indie author, Monica Murphy!

Monica Murphy came out of no where for me and has taken my love for reading to a whole new level. This is my first "New Adult" Contemporary Romance and after this read I will be looking for more from her and this genre.

Drew is the "perfect" guy - he is good student, football player, wealthy, and is cute as hell. Even though he is all these things he has some serious secrets he wants and needs to keep. But he is in need of some help and the only person he could think of to help him is Fable - a  townie girl from the wrong side of the tracks who gets around with all his friends (or so they say). Drew figures she won't ask too many questions and he knows she needs the money, so just maybe, she will agree to his "proposal".

Fable is interested in Drew and his proposal to be his "girlfriend" for a week. Once these two are together sparks fly and their like magnets, but sometimes magnets do the opposite when flipped and they push away rather than draw together.

Lot's of push and pull. Passions and angst. Secrets and lies. So much needs to be said and can't.
How do you deal with things when you don't know how to deal?

I love the fake boyfriend/girlfriend trope. It always makes for a cute read but Monica Murphy adds so many layers to this that it doesn't just feel like a cute fun read. She makes  you feel for these characters, take interest in where the have been, where they are, and where they are heading.

I was so througholy enrapt with the story I didn't realize I was getting close to the end and OMG! While there are cute, tender moments and even times I laughed aloud there is a deep emotional story story that will tug at your heart and leave you gasping by the end.

Book Two -  Second Chance Boyfriend comes out today!!
Trust me when I say this is one of those books that you HAVE TO HAVE book two before you even start flipping page one!

SECOND CHANCE BOYFRIEND

**Recommended for ages 17+ due to sexual content and language, mature subject matter**

New Adult Contemporary

Lost. That one single word best describes my life at this very moment. I lost the last games of the season and both my team and my coach blame me. I lost the last two months because I drowned in my own despair like a complete loser. And I lost the only girl who ever mattered because I was afraid being with me would destroy her.

But now I realize how truly lost I am without her. She has become my story…and even though she acts like she’s moved on, I know she still thinks about me just as much as I think about her. She’s beautiful, sweet—and so damn vulnerable, all I want to do is help her. Be there for her.

Love her…

If only I could convince Fable to give me a second chance. Then I wouldn’t feel so lost anymore, and neither would she. We could be found together.

Forever.
