Blurb ~

Reece and Scarlet have everything a loving couple could want, except a hot kinky sex life. Malachi, an experienced Dom, steps in to help them sort that out. But not only is he a terrible memory from Reece’s past, he’s a smartass and damaged goods, too.

As they all learn to trust each other, Malachi becomes more than just their kink coach. It’s a full-on brat smackdown, and no heart gets out unscathed.
Warning: Contains unrepentant brats, surprise orgasms, a Domme with training wheels, and a Dom whose tongue is registered as a weapon of mass seduction.

Review ~

The writing team of Sorcha Black, Leia Shaw, and Cari Silverwood is pretty much a dream team when it comes to writing a book together seamlessly. Their different writing styles blend together beautifully. Until I read their first book I had only read one other book with FF elements, and it is way out of my comfort zone. But these ladies have me sitting on pins and needles waiting for each installments of this series!

Reece and Scarlet really have an amazing relationship, but the only problem is that they can’t get their kinks to line up. They really are thinking too much about what they should do and not just letting it flow. When Reece’s friend Sabrina suggests they use Malachi as a Domme trainer/mentor, they are hesitant at first. Scarlet has the opportunity to meet him first and likes his personality. She really thinks that he can help them, but the second Reece sees him there is a big problem!!

Malachi is still trying to put the pieces back together after his breakup with his last sub Ivy. She literally ripped his heart to pieces when she left. He is not the strictest of Doms, but he thinks he can help Scarlet and Reece. When he sees Reece he doesn’t recognize her at first, but boy does she recognize him. He made her high school years torcher. He picked on her and got everyone to laugh at her, but that was to hide the fact that he had a massive crush on her and didn’t think she would go for him. (typical dumb boy!!) Helping the girls comes easy to Mal, but so do feelings of wanting to be a part of the action. Can he walk away when the training is done? Or will he leave a part of his heart behind?

I had to really process how much I loved this book, before I could sit down to write this review. There is just something so loveable about Malachi. You almost forget he has the big bad Dom thing down pat. I ran all the emotions with this book. They all had me laughing, crying, and happy sighing!! I also loved that we got to see glimpse of the peeps from the other books, because let’s face it I always need a visit from big bad Cross!!! ;) I really hope y’all love this series as much as I have!!! It is one that truly has my heart!

REVIEW~

Picking Up the Pieces is the debut novel by Jessica Prince, and I have to say she knocked it out the park with her first time.  This book is an emotionally charged bit of greatness. The great secondary characters show promise of a great series to come.

The last eight years haven’t been too easy on Emmy. Since the day Luke left her life and crushed her heart into millions of pieces it has been a rocky climb to put her life back together. Now he is back in town, and she wants nothing to do with him. But someone needs to tell that to her traitor of a body and heart!!

Luke knows he made the biggest mistake of his life when he left. He thought it would be easier on Emmy if she hated him, but he didn’t have any idea of the consequences that his selfish acts caused. He now has his work cut out for him if he has any hope of convincing her to give him a second chance. He doesn’t just have to make up the past to Emmy. He cut off contact with all of the people in his life, and his former best friends will make him work for a chance to be in their lives and Emmy’s. Can he make up for being a dumb 18 year old??

I can’t wait to see what else Jessica comes up with. If this book is any idea of her potential, then she will be an auto buy for me. This book made me laugh, cry, and my heart stop at moments. I love being so involved with the characters that you feel everything they are. The dialogs are written in a way that I felt these characters could have been peeps in my life. I love that she didn’t feel the need to add hundred dollar words when a five dollar word works just as great. I really hope y’all love this one as much as I did!!! :)

Review ~

Beneath the Beauty is part two of the Beauty serial by Skye Warren, and as I have said before this is the only serial to grab me and not leave me feeling like I was cheated out of a full book. I absolutely love that the story of Erin and Blake is unfolding like a real life couples would.

Blake and Erin have spent the last couple weeks getting to know each other better in and out of bed, but the opportunity for Blake to rejoin the real world has just come to them. Erin wants this for him, because it will help him to heal in ways that she alone can’t help him too.

Blake now being a professor at the very college that Erin is attending to finish her last semester is a bit of a problem but not the only one. They are soon faced with shadows of Blake’s past that could threaten the life they are trying to build together as a couple.

I can’t wait to see where we go from here. Blake has stolen a chunk of my heart, and I want very much for him to get his HEA. He deserves it soooo much. I hope y’all love this serial as much as I have. It is well worth getting attached too.

Casey Lu gets touched by Skye Warren

Beauty Touched the Beast

Erin cleans Mr. Morris’s house twice a week, soaking up every moment with the reclusive ex-soldier she secretly loves. Blake Morris knows he’s scarred both inside and out and is no good for the beautiful young woman who cleans his house to pay for college. But when Erin walks in on Blake touching himself and moaning her name, all bets are off.

Beauty Touched the Beast is a short erotic story of lovers finding refuge with each other. Not for those under 18 years of age or those uncomfortable with the subject matter.

Review~

Beauty Touched the Beast is a heartwarming tale of two people who think they don’t deserve the other, but that absolutely love the other and belong together. I am not traditionally a fan of serials, but Skye Warren has sucked me in. Normally with serials you are left feeling like the story was a bit cheated, but with this Beauty series I feel like you are getting a wonderful look into the lives of these two people.

Blake has shut himself off from the world after returning from war injured and broken on the inside. His outer scars only hint at the deep emotional wounds he still suffers. When Erin answers his add for a housekeeper, he finds so much more than an employee. She brings the sun back into his dark world.

Erin firmly believes that Blake must have one of the cleanest houses ever, but continues to come twice a week. She is drawn to him, and still sees the handsome man he once was. She thinks there is no way that he could ever return the want she feels for him until the day she walks in on him moaning her name as he touched himself to an explosive orgasm. She makes it her mission to have Blake for her own now that she knows he wants her too.

I firmly believe y’all will love this series as much as I have. They are smoking hot fragments of a delightful love story. I can’t wait to see where Skye takes these two.

Casey Lu gets "Tangled" up with Emma Chase

Get Tangled with Emma Chase

Drew Evans is a winner. Handsome and arrogant, he makes multimillion dollar business deals and seduces New York’s most beautiful women with just a smile. He has loyal friends and an indulgent family. So why has he been shuttered in his apartment for seven days, miserable and depressed?

He’ll tell you he has the flu.

But we all know that’s not really true.

Katherine Brooks is brilliant, beautiful and ambitious. She refuses to let anything - or anyone - derail her path to success. When Kate is hired as the new associate at Drew’s father’s investment banking firm, every aspect of the dashing playboy’s life is thrown into a tailspin. The professional competition she brings is unnerving, his attraction to her is distracting, his failure to entice her into his bed is exasperating.

Then, just when Drew is on the cusp of having everything he wants, his overblown confidence threatens to ruin it all. Will he be able untangle his feelings of lust and tenderness, frustration and fulfillment? Will he rise to the most important challenge of his life?

Can Drew Evans win at love?

Tangled is not your mother’s romance novel. It is an outrageous, passionate, witty narrative about a man who knows a lot about women…just not as much as he thinks he knows. As he tells his story, Drew learns the one thing he never wanted in life, is the only thing he can’t live without

Review~

Tangled is one of those rare books that make you laugh so hard your insides literally hurt when you are done with it. This hilarious peek inside of a man’s brain is just freaking fabulous.  Drew Evans is that man that you want to slap on the back of the head, but also want to be in around him because he is tons of fun and good to look at.

This book kind of pulls a Quentin Tarantino. We start this book with Drew on the sofa faking the flu due to some serious heartbreak. He admits to his sister that he has finally fallen in love, but that his dream woman is marrying someone else. Then he proceeds to tell us his story of how he ended up on said couch. His tale of woe is full of his manly advice and quotes that will have you gasping for air as you read them. For example:

No man wants to fuck a skeleton-and nibbling crackers and water like a prisoner of war at dinner isn’t attractive. It just makes us think about what a cranky bitch you’re going to be later on because you’re starving. If a guy’s into you? A cheeseburger deluxe is not going to scare him away. And if he’s not? Ingesting all the greens on Petter Cottontail’s farm isn’t going to change that, trust me.

Kate Brooks really gives this self-proclaimed ladies’ man the run for his money. She is his kryptonite. From the moment he sees her, he is enchanted by her, and starts to change SOME of his bad boy ways.  I love the dynamic between them so much, and the fact that she doesn’t just fall at his feet like the women he is so used to. He really has to work for her love. Add in his wonderful niece Mackenzie who keeps everyone on their toes, and this book is a definite winner!!! This is an absolutely wonderful book!! Finding out that this is the author’s first book is quite the shook, but I can guarantee I will be reading her next one! I hope y’all enjoy it as much as I have!!!!  :)

CaseyLu does Eden Bradley

I'm so happy posting this post for two reasons-

#1 - It's CaseyLu's first review post with us here at Day Dreaming Book Reviews
#2 - EEEKKKK! It's Eden Bradley's newest book Breaking Skye

Now onto the review...

When power play becomes more than just a game…

Submission. Spanking. Perhaps even a flogger, a whip…These are the things Skye has always craved, the desires she has never allowed herself to explore. Until now. She thought she was looking for a single experience, something to purge these strange yearnings from her system. Instead she finds a man whose absolute authority and stunning good looks leave her breathless. Helpless. Willing to do anything he asks of her. But only for one night…

Adam has other ideas—BDSM is a process, not a single experience. Skye could be the perfect submissive once he’s done training her—for someone else. For him, that’s always the way it’s been. But Skye is different. Enticing. Intoxicating. Irresistible. Soon all he can think of is breaking Skye—and keeping her for himself.

Review~

I’ve read many books set in the BDSM world, and I have to say that there are few people that get me as wound up as when I’m reading one of  Eden ’s books. The story of Breaking Skye is a wonderfully fast paced emotional rollercoaster. These two people willingly set out on this journey together that breaks down major walls in both of them giving them the possibility of a passion filled future, if they can just get out of their heads and listen to their hearts.

Skye wants to experience is it all spankings, submission, pain, and more, but she wants it to be a one time thing. She thinks if she can get this experience she can get over this obsession she has always had with them. She follows her cousin’s advice to signs up on a website and agrees to meet with a Dom to train her and give her this experience. From the minute Adam walks in the door she gets the feeling she may have bit off a tad bit more than she can chew, and her body is on alert.

Adam is instantly drawn to Skye, and he truly thinks she will make the perfect submissive. He knows that once she opens up to the kinkier side of life she will not be able to deny the need for it anymore, but he is training her for someone else. He just needs to convince his own body of his decision.

From the beginning this book is smoking hot! It is written in a way that you could totally immerse yourself in the scenes, and become Skye. I totally wanted to be her, and have the seriously sexy Adam bend me over his knee! This is a perfect quick read to especially if you are new to the BDSM genre. But you might want to have someone close by you can jump or toys, some ice water, and a fan while reading. It gets pretty freaking hot! I can’t recommend it enough!!
