I was so excited when I heard that author Christine Bell has an upcoming release titled Dirty Trick. Doesn't this just give you all sorts of ideas, whether it's dirty, naughty or just plain tricky? LOL! Well, let me tell you that this story had all three which I loved including a sexy hero in uniform and then a mask *sigh*

Trick is a SWAT officer and known as a "player" by his best friend, Grace and the woman of his dreams. Grace has seen a string of women coming in and out of his house ever since she's known him and she's even felt a "tingle" for her sexy friend. Or is he just a friend?

 I love stories where the hero and heroine are best friends and there's an underlying attraction beneath the surface waiting to be explored. Trick is tired of waiting for Grace to see him as something more than a friend, so when the opportunity to change that falls into his hands, he acts on it. Donned in his mask, he approaches Grace at a Halloween party and she is instantly attracted to him. The air between them just sizzles and they end up having sex. I really enjoyed the spontaneity of the moment and the passion that surrounded them. It does not stop here. Wait until you get to the movie theater scene...holy smokes that was one hot scene *fans self* 

Even after these passionate encounters with her "masked" man, Grace can't stop thinking about Trick and how much she loves him and not just as a friend. She now realizes that Trick is everything she's been looking for and ready to tell him so. Will Trick finally get the woman he's been longing for or will he lose Grace when she finds out about his alter ego and his dirty trick?

Kudos to this wonderful author for writing another sexy and emotional story that I could get "lost" in for a few hours and become totally invested in. What a wonderful way to start a new series! I loved the interaction of all the characters in this story and the friendships among them. I enjoyed the playfulness and bantering between Trick and his SWAT buddies and the strong bond between Grace and Serena. I hope we will get to read stories for all of them. I'm really looking forward to Serena's story as we got a quick glimpse that she's been hurt in the past. I'm dying to find out what happened and want to see the man that heals her heart.
