The New Year Blog Hop!

For this Blog Hop I guess I'm supposed to tell you about a favorite New Years Eve memory. This is a hard one because I normally don't do much for New Years. Normally my husband and I  are both working or I'm watching my nieces and nephews. Just like most years my husband was scheduled to work and I had no plans until I got an invite to a new friend of mines house for a little party.

So I packed up my car and took the 2 hour drive out, I had a blast! I got to visit with some people who have become very good friends, have a few drinks, and got my Karaoke virginity popped :) Thanks KB for being so gentle with me -xoxo.

After I got into it I realized I might suck at the vocals but at least I knew a lot of the words to the songs and it was fun, but I guess when ever your with people you enjoy everything is fun.

We all finally faded out around 3 am and spent the afternoon hanging out and listening to my Kindle read us erotic sex scenes -lol.  Okay if you have never let your Kindle read to you you might not understand this but if you have you know what exactly what I'm talking.

Have you ever Karaoked? Do you have a favorite song to sing? Let me know what if you have and what your song is to be entered into winning one of my favorite reads of the year - HOTBLOODED by Erin Nicholas

HotbloodedHer mama always said the women in their family were hotblooded…

And it’s been causing Brooke Donovan trouble her whole life. But it wasn’t until her mother took on the most powerful man in Honey Creek, Texas, that Brooke truly realized the daughter of the town whore didn’t stand a chance. When she left, it was supposed to be for good. But now, thanks to her late husband’s deal with their hometown, she’s back in the last place on earth she wants to be. Temporarily. As soon as her debts are paid off, she’s outta here. Until in walks the one man who can make her rethink everything.
Dr. Jack Silver fixes things. So, when he learns his uncle is responsible for Brooke losing her husband, his sense of honor drives him across Texas to make amends. Instead of a broken woman, though, he finds a gorgeous, feisty physician’s assistant trying to survive in a town that wants her gone. She also has a mile-high fence built out of pride—and a clinic that’s at risk of going belly up. She may not want his money, but the clinic? He can fix that. He just never expects that in setting Brooke back on her feet, he’ll be swept right off his own.

  1. I've never done Karaoke one reason is I'm to shy and another is I couldn't sing if my life depended on it.

  2. I let my friends convince me that kareokee was a good idea for my 21st birthday. I don't remember what the first song I did was but I know that it was terrible. The second one I sang was Wayward Son by Kansas and my friends video taped it thinking it was going to be as bad as the first. Turns out that was my song because I nailed it :) I decided to end my career on a good note though and haven't done it since lol.

  3. I have not done Karakoe and I'm thinking it will take quite a number of drinks for me to try it, but I'll make sure my friends know that if I get to that stage that they play Girls Just Wanna Have Fun! I'm an 80's girl and that is one of my favorite songs ;)

  22. My sister got herself a Karaoke machine for Christmas and opened it on Christmas Eve when we had our Christmas dinner. I refused to participate. Why? Well - I started the day with a pounding headache, and when she started singing in the microphone, it made it worse. I was determined not to make anyone else get a headache by having to listen to me sing!

    Thanks for the giveaway!

I did Karoake once with my girlfriend in Bermuda. That was over 20 years ago so I have no idea what we sang. For senior week in high school, another girlfriend, ex-boyfriend and I went into one of those little recording studios on the boardwalk. I can't remember which songs we sang there either. Bad memory.
