Sabrina Turner has found only one way to stop the curse she was born with—allow an incubus to worship her body in exchange for halting the voices drowning her sanity. Every time she succumbs, it’s an act of desperation. Yet she’s not sure if she wants to be rid of the bittersweet release.
All Jason Raines wants is to communicate one last time with his deceased brother. When he discovers his seductive neighbor speaks to the dead, it’s another reason to get close to her. The visions and cryptic dreams Sabrina’s experiencing are messages for him, he’s sure of it. Whatever her price, he’ll pay it. When a reluctant Sabrina opens the doorway to the other side, though, he discovers the cost may be higher than he first thought.

Review ~
OMG! – F/M/G! Nope, that’s not a typo – it’s definitely a G for GHOST – Yep, a ghost that doesn’t moan himself, but certainly has Sabrina moaning!
Dee Carney’s Intimate Whispers is a superb story that I found sexy and wickedly delightful with a supernatural twist. This book grabbed me from the start and thrust my imagination into overdrive! I have to admit I started reading it right before climbing into bed for the night (probably not my wisest decision) which turned me into a bit of a hyper-aware nutcase … any movement or perceived shadow that caught my eye or the slightest of noises had me damned near jumping up in bed.
Sabrina is a woman plagued by an overwhelming cacophony of pleas for help from those that have passed. For Sabrina this is no true gift, it’s a burden that for many years had her hovering on the brink of sanity. She finds relief from the unrelenting voices in the most unusual of beings, a spirit that has offered his assistance at a price Sabrina believes is worth it … a price that was worth every bump and grind until she met Jason. Jason is the reason I loved this book. He is masculine yet sensitive; determined, yet not overly pushy in his attempts to communicate with his brother through Sabrina, as well as in his attempts at convincing Sabrina that she can trust him with the secret he knows she is keeping from him. Will secrets be revealed? Will the voices persist? Will Sabrina and Jason finally be given a true gift, the gift of love?
Intimate Whispers was a pleasure to read even though (to me) the concept was freaky as heck – freaky enough to warrant a tall, cold Jack & Coke if it wouldn’t have added fuel to the flames of my imagination! BOO!
