I’ve got an amazing Valentine’s Day book recommendation…Sweetest Seduction by KB Alan!

Get ready to fall in love with Keith and Val! This story had it all from start to finish; it was well-paced and chock full of realistic, intimate-naughty-sextastic scenes. I could especially relate to Val and her disciplined attitude about working from home as an accountant..I am every bit as regimented as her when it comes to starting the day with getting dressed to avoid the laziness of working in jammies and I can also relate to her insecurities, which made her a loveable heroine for me. I can’t leave Keith out of this…he’s a hero that is every bit as determined as my dear hubby, which makes me love him just as much, if not more than Val.

KB takes us on a seductive journey involving assumptions that became a wedge which kept Keith and Val from coming together. Keith knows they are perfect for each other and has decided to prove this to her on what started out for her as a normal, date-less Valentine’s Day. His ballsy, take-charge, Val-napping is just what she needed to overcome the battle with her greatest enemy…her own mind with its twisted rationalization as to why he could never be as satisfied by her as he could by the beautiful models he photographs regularly. He pulls no punches when it comes to showing her that he’s a hopeless romantic with a huge heart that he wants to share with no one else but her.

The page-turning scenes kept me engrossed from start to finish. Since I’m a food junkie, my favorite scene was the ordering of the Double-Double, animal style—oh yeah baby—just the way I like my…men—umm—In-N-Out…ah hell!

So, to all you beautiful ladies out there, regardless of whether you have a date planned for V-Day or not this is a “must read” recommendation from me to you. If spending the special day showering yourself with all the love you deserve or having all that love showered on you…Keith and Val’s story will either fulfill wickedly romantic fantasies or provide some extra spice for your night! A little Valentine fun with KB Alan

is joining us today and answering just a few Valentine questions.

 

1. If you could choose one or more of your heroes to spend your Valentine with who would it be? why?

That is a tough question! But, I think I would have to answer Keith, from Sweetest Seduction. The paranormal abilities of Connul (Bound by Sunlight) and Zach (Alpha Turned) are very tempting, and the uber-Alpha, in control Caleb (Perfect Formation) makes my heart beat triple fast. But Keith is an every-day hero, who realizes that for Val, he has to up his game and come up with the perfect date for her, to convince her that they can make a go of it as a couple. Of course, that’s not to say that I’d turn down a date with Caleb and Richard!!

2. What's the craziest and/or wildest thing you've ever done on a date?

(oops, you may recognize this as the inspiration for a scene in one of my books 0_0)

In high school, on a double date with my sister and her boyfriend, we jumped the gate at an apartment complex to sit in the hot tub in our underwear at midnight. Not very crazy, I know, but that’s because I’m a sweet, innocent little thing. I’m surprised you didn’t realize that, Dawn, since you’ve met me!! (Also, rumors of my giving Lola a lap dance in Vegas are much exaggerated *cough, cough*)

 And I'm sure there are no photos to prove it either *snicker*

Lola- I do remember my wallet being a little light, but that's all I'm saying ;) 

3. Give me 5 things you feel are a "must have" to make a perfect Valentine's. 

An erotic romance early in the day to get things going in the right direction, chocolate, good mood music, fantastic food, and…wait, there was one more thing….oh, right! Shemar Moore. Yeah, that would work quite nicely.

4. Typically I make a cake for my sweetie for Valentine's but this year I'm feeling a little uninspired... Do you think you could help me? With this list of ingredients can you create another one of your Sweetest Seductions?

Exclusive Excerpt~

One of Keith’s fingers found her jeans-covered leg and traced along the side seam from her waist to her knee. His gaze flicked down and hers did as well so they both watched as the finger trailed up over her kneecap until it was even with the center of her leg before making the return journey. He pressed hard enough that she could feel a tingling sensation through the heavy pants as that single digit moved up her thigh. He pressed harder as he came to the front pocket so she could feel him pass over the crease between thigh and groin.

Such a simple thing, she could barely feel his touch, but her leg ached, wanting to feel him more directly. She sucked in a breath as his finger pushed the hem of her shirt up and made its way to her waistband before finally making light contact with her hungry flesh. She held her breath, waiting to see what he would do, but he remained motionless, the finger just touching her bare stomach.

“Val.” His voice was husky and she brought her gaze up to meet his. He was watching her, waiting until he had her attention before he unfurled the rest of his fingers and splayed them across her waist. Then he began the slow journey south again, only this time he used his whole hand. His thumb brushed dangerously close to her zipper, then curved to the inside of her thigh as it followed his strong fingers.

When he reached her knee he didn’t rest, just changed the angle of his hand so that his palm ran along the inseam of her jeans this time. Unable to look away, she watched his eyes as her pussy clenched in anticipation. She was wet for him and he’d barely touched her, just one hand on one thigh. In public. But she’s begging for his help—how can a gentleman refuse? As they learn to trust each other, he begins to realize the only thing he’s not willing to do for Kyriana is let her go.

REVIEW ~ 

Allow me to introduce Kyriana Price and Connul Graysn – a sweet as peaches temp worker forced on a mission of sneaky seduction and theft – and a gentlemanly, yet powerful and sexy Dom mage that possesses a potent object of desire (out of the gutter ladies, I’m not talking about THAT object of desire … at least not yet).  Landon Guard is such a prig that he doesn’t deserve a heavy-worded introduction, but he is the antithesis and therefore has to be mentioned.

Kyr’s mind has been the perfect nesting place Landon’s spell for the past year. Against her will, the time has come for her to infiltrate Connul’s private study to steal an object Landon strongly desires. Desperate to be free of Landon, she does the only thing she can think of to free herself from his grips – She sits and waits for Connul to discover that she has broken in. I found this to be quite amusing considering most people break in to a place with hopes of never getting caught!  Connul’s reaction to her intrusion isn’t what I expected either.  Over several days, Kyr and Connul get to know each other quite intimately.  All the while, Connul shows his expertise in domination, skillfully building the bond of trust that is crucial to freeing Kyr from the casted spell.  However, freeing Kyr of the spell is not the end of their problems, they must now deal with a pissed off mage that didn’t get what he wanted.  But hey—really—what’s  a loathsome, oily, but persistent mage able to do when up against the magical crew consisting of Connul’s brother, Dain; his sister, Sash; and Keller, a member of The Society?  Come on, you don’t really want me to tell you that now, do you?  Of course not, because I just know you want to skedaddle your sexy little fingers across your keys on the way to the nearest book store website to grab yourself a copy of this titillating book peppered with bondage, hot wax and cat-o-nines … oh my!  Can I get a HELL-YEAH?

Alright ladies, I’ve got a question for you – What would you do if a powerful mage was able to cast a spell on you that removed your ability to move or speak?  I thought so, good answers…and just so we’re clear, me too!  Okay, here’s another question for you … if you could create the ultimate sex spell, what would it be?  Mine would involve lots of Butterfingers  – Lola’s talkin’ chocolate bars again…or is she?

KB is a very busy girl! She is either working, sailing, hanging with friends,on the computer (twittering -which she introduced me too), reading, or writing or even a little bit of it all at once- lol. I was lucky to spend last weekend with KB in Las Vegas, we had a great time and even played a little dress up :D .

When I first met KB I hadn't read any of her books, I quickly changed that and read Bound by Sunlight. This isn't a book I would normally read as I am not a huge magic fan BUT I am very happy I did cause I LOVED it! Her characters were wonderful and the story line was easy to follow and I got a happy ending. (Now I want more!)

I have loved getting to know her and doing this interview was great fun. KB has some amazing giveaways in store for you too! So, let's get on to the interview ...

Dawn - What makes the “Perfect Man” for you? 

KB - Someone who listens and pays attention. And, you know, is hot. But really, I think a guy who puts you and your needs at the top of his priority list, who knows your likes and dislikes because he cares enough to pay attention, is definitely a winner.

 Dawn - Which of your heroes do you have a particular soft spot for? 


KB - Ooh, that’s hard, I do love them all. I think I will always have an extra special soft spot for Caleb, though. He’s one of two heroes from  my first book, Perfect Formation. A confident, alpha male who finds himself in love with two best friends - Richard and Taryn - and has to figure out how to convince them that the three of them together is exactly what they all need. Lucky for him, the friends don’t mind when he pulls out the restraints to get his point across!

Dawn - Talk to us about Connul. What’s his story? 


KB - Connul is a mage, with a great deal of power. He’s also a Dom. Can you say alpha male? As a good Dom and careful, responsible mage, though, he’s very conscious of his power. So when he walks into his private, secure home study and finds an unknown woman sitting in his chair, wearing her pyjamas (and not even the sexy kind!), his instincts to protect his home over those to protect a seemingly vulnerable woman clash. Is it a surprise to anyone that he’s soon pulling out the restraints to deal with the situation?!

Dawn - The romance genre has been getting a bad press of late (Not by us! We love it :D) Why did you choose to write in your genre? 


KB - There was never really any question, for me. While I read across a wide range of genres, I always come back to romance. In romance I can get the mystery, the suspense, the comedy, the super sexy - whatever I want, all with a guaranteed happily ever after. A hot hero and an enjoyable heroine just add to the pleasure. I’ve never been embarrassed to say I write romance, although I am sometimes a bit circumspect about the erotic part, depending on who I’m talking to!

Dawn - Do you have anything new in the works for us? 


KB - I’ve finished a Valentine’s Day story that I really like. I wanted to see what it would be like to write a holiday specific story, so of course I tried Valentine’s Day first! I found that the spirit of the holiday grabbed hold of me, and the book is definitely a sweeter story than my others. Although still erotic, of course, lol. Hopefully you’ll be seeing that release in February. I’m also working on a contemporary with ménage, and another werewolf story (set in the same world as my second book, Alpha Turned).
