OMG- it's Shelli Stevens!!!!
New York Times Best Selling Author, Shelli Stevens!

Shelli thank you for taking the time out of your day to visit with us and answer a few quick questions. I know you have been busy with conventions, work, writing (which we thank you for), and your new release, Seducing Allie. So thank for chatting with us today.
To start out let me say how wonderful it was to have met you at RT this year. It was my first year and I was there with a group of wonderful ladies that I had just met -you know who you are- so I was a bit shy, lol. You were so sweet and friendly, made me love you even more. Anyway enough of my mushiness, you have an awesome new book out from Samhain that just released, and you also have a surprise for my readers.....

Now onto our Perfect Man questions:

What makes the “Perfect Man” for you?
I don’t think there is a perfect man, really. I think a man who’d be good for me would be someone who could support me despite my weaknesses/faults. Someone who could make me laugh and be strong in the ways a man should be. I definitely want to feel like a woman. But...such a hard question. Because I’m not sure I know what my perfect man is until I meet him!
If you had to pick one, who would be your favorite literary Hero of all time? Hero in a book?
Hmm, it’s hard to pick just one. But one that has always stood out, is Nathan in Lora Leigh’s book Wild Card. He was so complex and so damn alpha. He took my breath away! That book is on my keeper shelf.
Which of your hero’s do you have a particular soft spot for?
Dangerous GroundsHmmm. I think Gabe from Dangerous Grounds. He’s been through a lot, has some baggage, and is just tormented as hell. But he’s hot and protective. Alpha (you can tell I like the alphas!)
Talk to us about Clint. What’s his story?Clint is the hero from my latest book Seducing Allie. He’s a man in a different kind of uniform. Forest Ranger! He’s been hot for good friend Allison for awhile now, and when he thinks she’s about to break up a wedding, he kidnaps her and takes her...camping. Oh yeah. A lot more than the campfire is heating up though.

The romance genre has been getting a bad press of late (Not by us! We love it :D) Why did you choose to write in your genre?
I’ve always read romance. Starting with Sweet Valley High books and the occasional romantic thread in Nancy Drew books. Then I moved onto HQ Presents and then all romances. So I’ve always loved romance. It’s saved me in times when I needed an escape. People can knock romance all they want, but the bottom line is it sells. It always will sell. People want to believe in love. They like the emotional lift it gives them, whether reading a romance novel or watching a romantic movie. I think most of the people knocking romances, just haven’t read one.

Do you have anything new in the works for us? Don’t be such a tease, tells us.... Can we get a Sneak Peak, maybe?
Well, I have a book called Savage Hunger coming out next year in the Spring! I’m super excited about it, because this is me dipping my toes more extensively into the paranormal world of shifters! I’ll share with you, for the first time, a never seen before excerpt and unofficial blurb

* Savage Hunger blurb (coming spring 2012!)
The daughter of a world-renowned scientist, Sienna Peters is a smart cookie. But she’s in way over her head. She’s has information about a secret species that’s being held in the lab where she works, and the horrible things being done to them.  She know she needs to help them, and it means doing more than just handing a jump drive full of information off to her father.

When Federal Agent Warrick Donovan finds Sienna, his friend’s little sister, smack dab in the middle of trouble surrounding the shifter species, he knows he needs to jump in and save her ass. And then find out how involved she is in what’s been done to them. The trick will be not only keeping her alive, but keeping his hands off her as passion ignites.

Savage Hunger (Unedited Excerpt!)

“Sorry, kid.”
Sienna shrieked as the hallway tilted and the ceiling swung into view. The air whooshed from her lungs as her stomach slammed into his shoulder in a fireman’s lift. His hand slapped down against her bottom to hold her still. The floor of the hallway wavered beneath her stunned gaze as he started jogging as if she weighed nothing at all.
“Warrick! Put me down!” She clutched the bodice of her dress with one hand so the phone and jump drive she had hidden didn’t fall out, and used her other fists to beat against his back. Her pulse raced with panic and confusion. “What are you doing?”
“We need to talk.”
“No. We absolutely do not—” Her words died out as he turned a corner and the holding cell swung into view, even as he moved away from it.
Holy crap!
Her jaw nearly hit the floor as she watched two more men dressed in black break open the cell door and rush inside. But that wasn’t what had her insides twisting with horror. She blinked, unable to connect what she’d discovered on the jump drive earlier with the reality in front of her.
The creatures inside the cell continued to howl and scream as their bodies contorted. Fingers splayed out at awkward angles, stretching longer and longer, while joints grew thick and gnarled. Hair poked through the human skin covering the—oh god it was a wolf. The smell in the hall was rancid with sweat and human waste...animal waste.
Her heart stuttered at the sickening scene, and she wasn’t even aware that she’d stopped fighting Warrick, but now clutched his shirt in fear.
Unable to close her eyes, Sienna watched as another creature appeared to shift back into human form, the fur on its body retracting as smooth dark skin appeared. And the change kept happening to all the creatures. Obviously uncontrollable, inexorable and agonizing. They were human, and yet they were animal.
Her gaze connected with one of the creature’s—a woman—inside the cell, and the glaze of pain in her stare had everything inside her clenching with compassion and helplessness.
“I’m taking the tango outside to the van,” Warrick said.
Her body jerked as he kicked open a door, his shoulder digging into her stomach. Then the door swung shut and the inside of the lab disappeared. But what she’d seen had been burned into her mind—she couldn’t get rid of the image.
Warrick’s grip on her tightened as he lowered her back over his shoulder and to the ground. Before she could get her balance or take note of their surroundings, she was forced up against the side of the building.
She welcomed the rough brick surface against her bare shoulders, it jarred her back to reality a bit. The slight chill in the night air added to the goose bumps that already covered her, but the proximity of Warrick’s hard body radiated a heat that reminded her this whole situation was entirely too real. What she’d seen was real. She swallowed against the nausea that now threatened.
Warrick’s arms came down on each side of her head and his face closed in on hers, his expression fierce, any trace of softness from earlier long gone. She blinked, trying to gain her surroundings, to calm herself, to form a clear thought.
“Tell me, Sienna. What the hell are you doing here tonight?”
Her heart couldn’t seem to slow from its erratic pace. In a daze, she shook her head, trying to suck a breath. “It’s not possible...things like that just can’t exist.”
He laughed mockingly, even as something hard—frightening—flickered in his eyes. “To the rest of the world, they don’t.”

Seducing Allie Shelli's new release from Samhain Publishing (07/19/11) is
Seducing Allie, book 3 in the Seattle Steam series
He’s going to show this wedding crasher just how dirty the outdoors can be.

Allison Siegel is out to stop a wedding. With one of her best childhood friends about to marry a gold-digger, who wouldn’t at least try to stage an intervention? Apparently, her other childhood bestie, Clint.

The minute Allie grew out of her sneakers and into her curves, Clint’s hormones went ballistic. But she had eyes only for Ken, so Clint made himself scarce, even after the relationship fizzled. Now she’s back, looking better than ever—and hell-bent on sabotaging Ken’s wedding. So Clint knows he needs to do whatever it takes to head her off at the pass.

Kidnapped! Allison can't believe it. Now she’s stuck in the Montana backwoods fending off nature’s friends, and fighting a losing battle to resist Clint—the sexiest forest ranger on the planet.

Clint has big plans for Allie. Not only will he convince a city girl that she needs to embrace her inner nature freak, but he's going to prove there's sparks flying in more places than just the campfire.
